Nord-Lock X-Series washers combine Nord-Lock wedge-locking technology with compensation against settlements. Thanks to the conical shape, the load will be more evenly distributed underneath the loaded area, reducing surface deformation and preload loss. At the same time, the X-Series washer will compensate against preload loss due to settlements and relaxation.
Each X-Series washer pair has cam faces on one side and serrations on the other. When tightened, the serrations are embedded into the mating surfaces. As the cam angle (α) is greater than the thread pitch (β), a wedge effect is created, preventing bolt loosening caused by vibration and dynamic loads. Proven under Junker vibration testing, they outperform standard locking methods.
